エフエムキーポンミュージックで使用しているlive365.comが日本語サービスを開始します。ところが日本のリスナーだけ有料になるようです。課金の理由としていろいろあげられていますが、それらはすべて僕らが放送する上で払っていることになっているものばかりなのですよ。明らかな二重取りなのですよ。競合相手がいないっていうのはユーザーにとってとてもよくないことです。
以前からの秘密の代替案をなんとか実行に移せないか試行錯誤中です。（その前に更新しろって言われそうですが。。。）あと、もしかしたらiTunesのお気に入りに登録しておけばずっと聴くことができるかもしれませんので、とりあえず登録を薦めておきます。

さて、Live365では、日本からのリスナーの急増を受けまして、近日中に日本語サービスを開始いたします。現在、英語サイトのBroadcaster会員であるあなた様は、今後共、今までと変わりなくサービスをご利用頂けますのでご案内申し上げます。
なお、日本でのブロードキャストサービスの開始につきましては、現在のところ未定となっております。このため、新規のお客様で、ブロードキャストサービスをご利用になりたい方は、日本語サイトにてVIP登録を行った後に、英語サイトでブロードキャスター登録をしていただくことになります。その際には、Live365のブロードキャスト規約に従ってください。また、JASRAC等の著作団体に権利が属している日本楽曲の使用･放送は引き続きできませんが、これに関しては、現在、関係団体と協議を重ねております。
併せて、レギュラー会員の皆様には、著作権上の規制により、今後、Live365をお楽しみいただくには、日本語サイトで「VIP会員」（有料）に登録していただく必要があります。

Live365が設定する料金は、コンテンツ（楽曲）にかかわる著作権料と著作隣接権料、および配信にかかわる帯域使用料、さらにこのサービスを提供していくための様々な運営費用、つまり、設備や人件費等の直接・間接費用の合計を、リスナーの皆様に公平に分担していただく、というものです。
Live365は、ブロードキャスターが制作した音楽番組をリスナーがインターネットを介して聴取する仕組みを提供していますが、番組を構成する楽曲は、作曲家、作詞家、演奏者、原盤製作者を含む多数の方々の知的制作物であり、その努力の対価として一定の報酬を要求する権利は法律が定めるところのものです。Live365は、この対価を配分する機構、ASCAPやBMIなどを通じて、リスナーからいただく料金（会費）を正しく著作権所有者に還元しています。
インターネットを通じて番組を配信するとき、帯域使用料という費用が付随して発生します。また、mp3PROなどの技術や、その他のソフトウェアの使用にかかわるライセンス料等の負担もあり、これらについても権利所有者に対して支払うことが法的に義務付けられています。
世界中の音楽ファンの皆様に、お好きな音楽を思う存分楽しんでいただくことが、私たちにとって何よりも大きな喜びです。しかし、同時に、前述の著作権料や帯域使用料をはじめ、このサービスを維持し、充実させていくために必要な費用もまかなわなければなりません。リスナーからの会費はこのコストに充当させていただくものです。１ヵ月5ドル95セントの料金で、24時間ノンストップでお気に入りの音楽を、世界中の15,000を越える放送局の中から自由に選んで聴くことができます。この料金は全世界同じです。
Live365の日本語サイトにおいて現時点で提供できるリスニングサービスは、母体となる英語サイトとほぼ同等ですが、今後は日本のリスナー向けのオリジナル・コンテンツも積極的に制作して行く予定です。

Thanks for being a Live365 user! We have some exciting changes in store for you and for other customers in Japan currently using Live365. Very shortly, Live365 will launch a Japanese version of its site! Our launch has special implications for all Live365 users, whether they are Broadcasters, Preferred Members, or free listeners.
Below, we have included an FAQ to address questions we have received from customers who are currently accessing from Japan. We hope you'll find them helpful in addressing any questions or concerns you may have about the new Japanese service.
What are the upcoming changes for Live365 users accessing the service from Japan?
We're thrilled to announce that in a few weeks, we'll be launching Live365 Japan! When we make our service available in Japanese, we will also be making a few changes to how users in Japan access our service.
Free listeners currently accessing Live365 from Japan will need to become VIP Preferred Member subscribers in order to continue to hear Live365 stations. On the Japanese site, VIP Preferred Membership subscriptions are available for purchase on 1 or 6-month recurring terms.
Current VIP Preferred Member subscribers accessing Live365 from Japan will not experience any changes to their service. Once the Japanese site is introduced, VIP subscribers will be able to log in to either the U.S. or Japanese versions of Live365 when they access www.live365.com.
Broadcasters accessing Live365 from Japan will not experience changes in listening or Broadcasting. Broadcasters will continue to have complete access to all of their broadcast tools (including those on the U.S. Web site), as well as have free-listening access to all Live365 stations via the U.S. site. Be sure to log in to the U.S. site -- not the Japanese site -- in order to manage your broadcast.
I live in Japan and I've always listened to Live365 for free. Why do I have to start paying for the service now?
There are a number of costs involved in delivering Live365's service. In addition to all the expenses of running a business (hardware, employees, office space, etc.), we pay a significant amount for the bandwidth we use to deliver our streaming radio stations to listeners. Additionally, we pay very large fees (royalties) for every song listeners hear on our stations. In the U.S., Live365's advertisers subsidize free listening for our listeners. However, in Japan, the Internet radio advertising market has yet to mature, so there are no Japanese advertising dollars to subsidize free listening. Requiring a subscription for listening access is the best way for Live365 to provide and develop listening services in countries outside of the U.S.
